Study to Earn OR Earn to Study?

Dear Readers,

Being in a country with rampant poverty and constant unexpected conditions, may we ask you this question:  Given two options, will you

“Study to Earn OR Earn to Study?”

In the graphics below, you can see the two scenarios. One has chosen to study to earn better, and one opted to work and earn hoping to save money and continue her studies.

Study to Earn

The first one pursued her dream despite the challenges, with a deep passion for learning, great love for her family, and a determination to have a better life in the future. These three factors ignited her desire and kept the fire of will burning to achieve her absolute goal, to become what she wanted to be— a successful individual.

Earn to Study

The second one set aside her studies when she had the chance to get a job and earn, hoping that she could help her struggling family to live decently. Her mind was set to go back to school when she had enough to spend, but things didn't go as planned. Time flies and situations change. She focused on work, aged, had a family of her own, and her plan to finish school had passed. Her dreams turned around. From her personal goal, it is now her high hope to provide her child with the best of education and become what she had wanted for herself but did not accomplish. That is, to make a name for herself.

In life, everyone has a choice. More often than not, whatever we select, the outcome lies in our hands. Mistakes and failures are inevitable. However, it is up to us how we would handle the situations and the consequences of our actions— learn from them or live with them. Our world is full of uncertainties, but if there is one thing that we can be sure of, it is that our faith and determination will help us overcome them.

“If there’s a will, there’s a way.” Let it be a guide for everyone that literary, the word impossible can be spelled as “I’m Possible." #StoriesOfLiLib
