Confirmed: Philippine concerts and events are happening this 2022!
Here’s what you should expect and a list of the upcoming events this year.
After two years of strict implementation of social distancing due to the global spread of the COVID-19 virus that forbade the occurrence of concerts, fan meetings, music festivals, and other social gatherings, the Philippines opened its doors again to welcome international stars to perform in the country this year. Alongside this, Filipino music artists will also star in an upcoming music festival event.

Event promoters and organizers from the Philippines and Korea officially announced the Korean celebrities, K-pop groups, P-pop groups, and Filipino music artists who are set to go and perform in the country.
CDM Entertainment organized an international live concert entitled “Begin Again K-pop Edition” featuring the different K-pop groups, SHINee’s Key (lead rapper of the Korean Boy Band SHINee), Five members of NCT Dream (third sub-unit of the Korean Boy Band NCT, consisting of 7 members out of 23), Wei (Korean boy band formed of 6 members), and ALICE (Korean girl group with 7 members). The performance is planned to happen on the 29th of May at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The ticket prices range from Php 3,250 to Php 10,250.
Aside from the said famous K-pop groups, well-known Korean celebrities who are also endorsers of Philippine local brands are also set to have a fan meeting in the Philippines. First is Kim Soo-Hyun who is known for his latest Korean drama entitled It’s Okay to Not Be Okay. He is also the endorser of the local clothing brand Bench. His fan meeting is set to happen on the 10th of June at SM Mall of Asia Arena. And of course, Hwang In-Yeop, known for his Korean Drama “True Beauty,” is also an endorser of the cosmetic brand BYS. His fan meeting will be on the 19th of June at New Frontier Theater.
The fun and excitement do not just stop there. More K-pop groups such as G(I)-DLE and Red Velvet are expected to have their concert tours in Manila in the next few months. What’s more exciting is that the girl group, Red Velvet, is lined-up with P-pop groups such as BINI and BGYO. It is thrilling to see a Korean group and Philippine groups on one stage.
And of course, The Philippines also prepared something for the OPM lovers. After two years of hiatus, the annual hot air balloon music and food festival finally came back with a two-day event featuring famous OPM artists and bands. The event will be on the 10th and 11th of the month of June at Clark Global City, Angeles, Pampanga. There will be notable artists each day. For the first day, Skusta Clee, Zack Tabudlo, and Adie, together with other artists, will perform from 2 pm until 2 am. While for the second day with the time schedule, famous bands such as Ben & Ben and December Avenue will perform. It will be a long and exciting music festival along with the showcasing of the unique and beautiful hot air balloons.
Gratefully, these types of events will happen again after a long time of being in a lockdown. Hopefully, the world will continue to totally heal and bring back the fun and memorable events like these. If you are a fan of Korean artists and our own Filipino artists, these are the events that you should look forward to and hopefully more soon!
